This session was part of a collaboration with the M onmouth County Arts Council stemming from the band's performance at the Council Gala event where they presented an award to honoree Bobby Bandiera, and were invited to open for legendary New Jersey rockers Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes on New Year's Eve at the Count Basie Theater.

Macintosh power at it's finest. This is not a Photoshopped image, just a Cmd-Shift-3 screen capture. I was demoing a 2.6GHz Penryn MacBook Pro in order to assess it's use in the Windows side of what I do at BCC... managing distance education facilities remotely. The Mac was running Windows XP virtualized via Parallels Desktop, performing the following tasks simultaneously while connected wirelessly in the Audio Control Room: controlling the Crestron in ATEC216 via e-control, controlling the Polycom VS4000 codec in ATEC216 via it's web interface, and controlling via VNC the PC in ATEC216 running the GVI surveillance/monitoring system receiving feeds from the IcIT web transmitters in ATEC216, the Neptune HEC, and the Long Branch HEC.

At the Helios Type 79 at Shorefire Recording Studios. Owner/Engineer Joe DeMaio has quite a nice setup as you can see!!! The 40X32X32 console, nicknamed "Brownie", is the last Helios console ever built and formerly resided at Town House Studios, London, UK. A sad bit of news: Town House is closed and the gear was auctioned in Spring 2008.

ATEC 216 from the rear. Since this photo was taken, the front CRT monitors were replaced with 50" Sony plasma monitors and the Crestron control system completely reprogrammed. We moved from a Fiber Optic based ITV system provided by Verizon to a Video Over IP system featuring Polycom VS4000 codecs, and also moved to an IP-based solution for classroom monitoring.A similar upgrade was performed at the Western Monmouth Higher Education Center in room 202. In 2007 the sites at Long Branch, Neptune, and Hazlet were all moved from their previous locations during those centers' reconstruction and updated as well. We connect to the outside world via our connection to the New Jersey Edge statewide data/video network.
